Story: Why Planning is Important?

One Night 4 college students were playing till late night and could not study for the test which was scheduled for the next day.

In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as dirty with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the tire of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.


So the Dean said they could have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked him and said they would be ready by that time.

On the third day they appeared before the Dean.. The Dean said that as this was a Special Condition Test, all four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test. They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days.

Fahami Kod Pada Tayar

Contoh kod pada tayar: 205/45 R17 84W

205: lebar tayar dalam milimeter (mm).
45: nisbah ketinggian dinding tepi tayar dengan lebar tayar atau dinding tayar adalah 45% daripada lebar tayar.
R: tayar menggunakan teknologi pembuatan Radial.
17: saiz rim yang sesuai untuk digunakan dalam inci
84: indeks beban yang boleh ditanggung oleh tayar tersebut, 84 untuk beban sehingga 500kg setiap tayar.
W: kadar kelajuan maksimum yang boleh ditanggung oleh tayar tersebut, W untuk kelajuan sehingga 270km/j.

Tips:
Jika anda ingin menukar kepada rim yang lebih besar, pastikan ukur lilit tayar baru perlu dalam lingkungan +-3% dari tayar asal. Ini kerana ukur lilit tayar yang berubah akan menyebabkan bacaan speedometer tidak tepat.

Can Your Car Run RON 95 Octane Fuel?

RON 95 octane fuel will be introduced widely this September and will be replacing RON 92 octane fuel with the price RM1.75/litre which is more RM0.05 compared to the price of RON 92 price nowadays. Starting this 1st September, RON 97 octane fuel will be priced at RM2.00/litre. Goverment will not control the RON 97 price since it will be a premium octane fuel and petrol companies are freely to put any additives on their RON 97 petrols with higher than RM2.00 price per litre. It's your choice to use RON 97 or RON 95 fuel. If you have more money for fuel, you still can use RON 97 fuel.

The question is can your car run RON 95 octane fuel? What will happen to your car engine when it run with RON 95? Maybe your car will knocked heavily with lower octane fuel. You also may need to adjust your engine ignition timing to avoid knocking. If you want to try whether your car can run RON 95 or not, the new RON95 grade fuel is already available at 2 Petronas stations in Putrajaya. My advise is, call your mechanics to seek for their opinion before you try it.

MASALAH AIRCOND KERETA

Setiap hari kita akan memandu kereta itupun bagi yang ada lesen lah atau pun yang hanya sebagai penumpang. Masalah yang timbul jika dalam kesesakan jalan, dan cuaca panas anda tentu berasa gelisah dan tidak selesa jika sistem pendingin udara kereta tidak berfungsi – air-cond tidak sejuk,angin yang keluar berbau hapak dan saluran paip bocor. Lebih –lebih lagi jika cuaca panas... terasa bahang haba di dalam kereta dari luar dan dalam.Sebenarnya untuk makluman secara teknikalnya, sistem pendingin udara (air-cond) sebenarnya berfungsi menggunakan gas yang dimampatkan oleh pemampat ataupun yang biasa kita sebut compressor. Gas ini akan mengalir melalui penyejat atau bahasa inggerisnya cooling coil yang berada di dalam kabin kereta dan blower akan meniup angin melalui cooling coil dan akan mengeluarkan angin yang sejuk. Selepas itu gas ini perlu disejukkan kembali dan akan melalui radiator kondenser yang akan menyejukkan gas itu. Begitulah secara asasnya bagaimana pendingin hawa kereta berfungsi.Tapi jika perkara di bawah ini terjadi maka ia adalah ciri – ciri yang aircond kereta tu perlu di servis segera kerana telah rosak.

Di antaranya ialah :-

• MASALAH 1: Angin Panas atau Air-Cond Tidak Sejuk
Sebaiknya periksa kandungan gas air-cond kereta dengan melihat tingkap di atas penapis gas aircond(tabung berwarna perak yang mempunyai bahagian kaca di atas) jika ada buih, pada kaca cerap tu maksudnya gas masih ada. Jadi kerosakan bukan disebabkan kebocoran. Kemudian pasangkan air-cond. Perhatikan kipas di depan radiator kondenser.Air-cond tidak cukup sejuk juga menimbulkan masalah. Perkara ini biasanya berlaku kepada kereta yang diimport sepenuhnya (CBU) atau selepas air-cond diservis. Tiada kerosakan sebenarnya kerana suhu air-cond dikawal oleh satu suis yang meng'ON'kan dan meng'OFF'kan air-cond kereta secara automatik. Apakata apabila kita pergi ke servis kereta minta mekanik melaraskan suis ini supaya aircond lebih lama 'ON'.

• MASALAH 2: Sekiranya kipas tidak bergerak
Maksudnya kipas itu rosak dan perlu ditukar. Sekiranya kipas bergerak tetapi pergerakannya tidak laju, kipas perlu juga ditukar.

•MASALAH 3: Sekiranya kipas bergerak laju dan air-cond masih tidak sejuk
Cuba biarkan air-cond terpasang dan perhatikan salah satu paip yang menyalurkan gas air-cond.Sekiranya ada kelihatan, bintik-bintik air mula kelihatan maka aliran gas daripada kompresor ke cooling coil tidak ada masalah.Tapi jika air-cond masih juga tidak sejuk, besar kemungkinan, injap yang mengawal kemasukan gas ke dalam cooling coil tersumbat atau rosak. Untuk menukar injap ini cooling coil perlu dibuka dan gas perlu dibuang.

• MASALAH 4: Dalam perjalanan jauh, selepas beberapa ketika, air-cond tidak sejuk
Perkara ini berlaku kerana suis yang mengawal 'ON' dan 'OFF' air-cond tidak dapat berfungsi dengan baik atau injap yang mengawal gas masuk ke dalam cooling coil rosak menyebabkan kemasukan gas ke dalam cooling coil berlebihan dan menjadikan cooling coil beku atau ais terjadi sehinggakan menghalang pengaliran gas keluar dan menyebabkan hanya sebahagian cooling coil yang sejuk dan sebahagian lagi panas.Sekiranya ini terjadi, berhentikan kereta anda selama beberapa ketika (sehingga tiada lagi ais di paipgas) dan laraskan thermostat ke suhu yang paling kurang sejuk. Sekiranya berlaku lagi, maksudnya,injap atau suis air-cond anda perlu di tukar.

• MASALAH 5: Angin air-cond berbau hapak dan tidak selesa
Ini berlaku kerana terdapat angin luar yang masuk ke dalam sistem saluran angin air-cond kereta anda atau air-cond anda telah terlalu lama tidak di servis hingga menyebabkan semua habuk dan basah telah berkulat dan mengeluarkan bau busuk.

• MASALAH 6: Corong keluar angin aircond berminyak
Jika ini berlaku, maksudnya cooling coil anda telah mengalami kebocoran dan lama kelamaan gas akan habis dan angin air-cond akan panas.

Kesimpulan
Akhir kata secara teknikalnya,adalah lebih baik air-cond diservis setiap tahun dan untuk perjalanan jauh di lebuh raya, jangan melaras thermostat pada suhu tersejuk kerana ini akan merosakkan injap cooling coil. Dan untuk pengguna kereta buatan Malaysia, jangan terlalu 'bermain' dengan thermostat air-cond anda kerana ia sangat sensitif. Kos untuk membaikinya agak mahal..
